Site Update

4/13/08 So as I was saying, I think I'm going to start updating the site again. I've been dragged, kicking and screaming (well, maybe not dragged) into things so there should be some action on the site soon. I have a few returns from the offseason to report today and I'll have a bunch of 50/50 autographs from the AFL to report as well. The AFL stuff may take a while to post, there's a lot of scanning I need to do. So anyway, I will also be working on the new site design so I hope to be able to unveil that soon... a few weeks or so maybe. There may be some other big news coming as well but I'll leave that under a thin veil of mystery for now. So anyways... here are my most recent returns. One from Dodgers youngster James Loney, one from Padres shorstop Khalil Greene, one from Phillies prospect Adrian Cardenas, and finally one from O's prospect Nolan Reimold.

3/25/08 Well it appears someone gained access to my account somehow. I suspect it's something on my host's behalf because their service has been horrible lately and my password is rather tough to crack... so much so that I've never in 14 years of using the internet had a password cracked. Anyway... I've changed the password and if it happens again I'll know for sure it's my host. I've been away from the hobby for a while since I sold the message board. All the time it takes to be a part of the hobby and to update the site just finally caught up with me. I'd like to say I'll be back at it but the reality is I probably won't be back in the hobby and updating the site. It stopped being fun for me and just became a chore to be done every day. I still like to look at my collection online sometimes so I've kept the site up and running and will probably continue to keep it up although if someone is interested in buying the site or the domain or even my entire collection then I might consider, who knows.

11/11/07 Returns lately... one from Mariners top prospect Wladimir Balentien, one from Astros rookie Hunter Pence, one from Brewers pitcher Chris Capuano, one from Reds prospect Craig Tatum, and one from Phillies prospect Jeremy Slayden. I also received some autos from 50/50 trades... one of Yankees minor leaguer Omir Santos, one from Yankees minor leaguer Jason Jones, one from Yankees prospect Chase Wright, and one from Yankees prospect Kevin Whelan. Most viewed scans for October were for Ryan Zimmerman, Jeff Bagwell, and Joe Savery followed by Ian Kinsler and Justin Upton.

9/15/07 A few returns recently... one from Washington Nationals third baseman Ryan Zimmerman, one from Rangers second baseman Ian Kinsler, and Reds prospect BJ Szymanski. Also received some autos in 50/50 trades for Marlins prospect Corey Madden, Marlins prospect Justin Jacobs, Phillies prospect Mike Durant, and Phillies number one pick Joe Savery out of Rice University.

9/9/07 One return yesterday from Red Sox first round pick Daniel Bard. Also received two autos in 50/50 trades for Twins prospect Trent Oeltjen and Marlins prospect Ryan Morris.

9/4/07 Another 50/50 trade in today for Michael Bowden. Also updated the banner on the site. A poster from the forums created it so thanks to him for his work.

9/1/07 Three returns this week... one from DRays prospect Joel Guzman, one from Royals prospect Mike Connolly, and one from Phillies prospect Jason Donald. Also returns on 50/50 trades for Astros prospect Troy Patton, Astros prospect Koby Clemens, Twins prospect Luke Hughes, Orioles prospect Fredy Deza, Pirates prospect Neil Walker, Pirates minor leaguer Brandon Chaves, Twins prospect Trevor Plouffe, Nationals prospect Erick San Pedro, Nationals prospect Leonard Davis, Indians prospect Mike Butia, and finally Nationals prospect Chris Marrero. I also received an MLB debut ticket for Troy Patton.

The most viewed scans for July were Ian Snell, Justin Upton, and Jeff Bagwell followed by Adam Miller and Cole Hamels.

8/18/07 One return lately from Indians prospect Adam Miller. Also received a signed ball of Astros prospect and Futures Game selection J.R. Towles from an eBay purchase.

8/11/07 One return from Yankees prospect Justin Christian. A return from a 50/50 trade for Red Sox prospect Michael Bowden. Also, a new MLB debut ticket for Phillies pitcher Cole Hamels.

8/3/07 Mail today... one from Pirates pitcher Ian Snell. Looks totally different from my previous return with him, odd.

I also updated Most Viewed Scans for July... Cole Hamels, Jeff Bagwell, and Justin Upton led the way followed by Jon Lester and Fernando Martinez. I updated Top Referers for July as well and they were Top Prospect Alert, Mark's Signing Bonus, Sports Autos TTM, Snail Mail, and D&N Autographs.
